The Force is a pro-level overstable maximum distance driver. It will absorb elite speed and torque and always finish with a predictable hyzer fade. It is one of the most popular Discraft molds we have in stock. This Discraft Force review will help determine which Force for sale is right for you. 

Discraft Force Plastics

The popular Force is available in every plastic blend Discraft has cooked up over the past 15 years. 

• Z Line: A stiff, slick, translucent, and very durable blend. Discs have a bit less turn and a stronger fade in this plastic.  
• Big Z: Virtually identical to Z Line, the Big Z has a slightly gummier hand feel and a more opaque look.
• Titanium: A very stiff blend that has maximum durability. Discs generally fly more overstable in this plastic. 
• ESP: Solid durability but with a more flexible and softer hand feel. Discs generally fly close to their posted fight numbers in ESP. 
• ESP Swirl (Tour Series): ESP plastic with a swirl pattern. 
• FLX: The Force is produced in Z FLX, ESP FLX, and Titanium FLX. All are very flexible and gummy versions of the regular blends. Discs have better grip and fly more understable in FLX.
• CryZtal Sparkle: A sparkly version for Z plastic.
• Pro D: Baseline plastic with excellent grip but very low durability. Good for putters and mids, but prone to extreme warping for wide-rimmed high-speed drivers. 
• X Line: X Line has an excellent grip with slightly more durability than Pro D. Discs will fly more understable and break in very quickly in this blend. 
• Jawbreaker: A stiff rubber/plastic blend with a tacky feel. Popular for putters and mids, it will be less overstable than other premium plastics.

This ultra-reliable driver has a potent combination of high speed, minimum turn, and strong fader. Power arms will get extended mid-flight glide and forward penetration from the Force, making it an excellent shot shaper at long distances. The predictable fade allows for aggressive shots with accurate finishes. 

The Force is one of the best wind fighters on the market, as it will penetrate forward in headwinds and slice into crosswinds. The excellent high-speed torque resistance also makes it a fantastic forehand option, particularly on flat or anhzyer releases.

The Force has the standard dimensions of an overstable distance driver. Its thick and beefy rim concentrates the weight around the perimeter of the disc, and the very sharp edge produces massive skips. There is some variance in the amount of dome on each run of the Force, with some coming with flatter tops. 

History

The Force debuted in 2008, and fifteen years later, it is still a mainstay in the bags of elite players. It has stood the test of time and is a tentpole distance driver in the Discraft lineup. Players keep multiple versions of this mold in the bag, some newer and more overstable, and others more beaten in to get additional glide and distance. 

Skill Level Recommendations

The Force is ideal for advanced players with above-average power.

• Novice: This is the kind of disc that beginners should avoid.  
• Intermediate: Fills the role of overstable utility driver in the distance driver slot. Players at this level should try the Force in lower weights or softer plastic blends for more workability. 
• Advanced: Potential centerpiece of the bag. Won't be the fly the furthest, but offers excellent accuracy and predictability on a wide variety of distance lines. 
• Pro: Staple in the bag of most Discraft pros. Paul McBeth, Chris Dickerson, and Anthony Barela throw multiple Forces in different plastic blends.
